Solex Green Energy bags Rs 68.69 crore contract for 24.1 MW solar projects

Power Generation  -  Jul 03,2025  -

Solex Green Energy Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the pioneering solar company Solex Energy Limited, has announced a significant stride in India's renewable energy landscape.

The company has secured contracts aggregating to 24.1 MW of solar power projects, valued at a total consideration of Rs 68.685 crore (approximately Rs 68.69 crore), inclusive of all duties and taxes.

These crucial projects have been awarded under the Distributed Renewable Energy Bilateral Purchase (DREBP) Policy, a progressive government initiative designed to promote clean and sustainable energy solutions, particularly for smaller-scale investors and projects.

Solex Green Energy has bagged these orders from various individuals and entities, including Khemka Sunayana Balkrishna, Shilpi Saileshbhai Khemka, Rekhaben Pravinbhai Dankhara, and K M Enterprise, among others.

The DREBP policy is instrumental in simplifying the process of developing renewable energy projects.

It offers streamlined registration, faster grid connections, and allows developers to sell power at a fixed rate determined by the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC), bypassing the need for competitive bidding for solar projects up to 5 MW and wind projects under 10 MW.
