Yeida to hurry work on 200-acre electronics area after government approval

Manufacturing  -  Apr 28,2025  -

After the central government gave its  nod for the big Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) project, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) said it decided to speed up work on the manufacturing area on 200 acres in Sector 10 near the Yamuna Expressway. This is planned to boost growth and create jobs in the state.

In June 2022, the government of Uttar Pradesh had chosen Yeida to be the state group in charge of taking part in the central government's Updated Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (2.0) plan. Yeida was to set up an electronic manufacturing area after getting the needed approvals.

Yeida's EMC project met all the requirements for the plan, such as being connected to the Expressway, airport, railway lines, and Metro system.

Arun Vir Singh, the chief executive officer of Yeida, said, "Since we have received the approvals and meet all the necessary conditions to develop this project, we will speed up the work to move to the next step. This project has great potential to boost the state's economy and create many jobs. With the success of this project, Uttar Pradesh will become a key state for developing this by inviting important companies to invest, buy land, and set up their units."
