Power Generation  -  Apr 28,2025  -

The government of Maharashtra plans to get almost 8,000 acres of land to set up new factories in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced recently.

Speaking at an event held by the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA), the Chief Minister said the city is becoming a key spot for making electric vehicles in India.

He said, "The need for space for industries continues to increase, and we are getting 8,000 acres ready to support this growth. Companies are very interested in starting operations here."

Fadnavis also shared plans for big improvements to roads and other services, including a ring road to better connect industrial areas and a large overpass to reduce traffic jams in the city. He added that money will be secured for these improvements.

To help people learn needed skills, the state will provide land for a special training center. Also, the government is supporting a project for floating solar power on the water behind Jayakwadi Dam to make sure there is affordable electricity.
