Patel Engineering is lowest bidder for two projects worth over Rs 2,037 crore

Shares of Patel Engineering, a company based in Mumbai, rose after it was named the lowest bidder for two projects valued at more than Rs 2,000 crore.

The first project involves building the Kondhane Dam and related structures using a method called Roller Compacted Concrete. This order is from CIDCO.

This project is located in the Karjat area of Maharashtra and is planned to be finished in 42 months.

The work for this order includes building the dam structure, which will be 1,209 meters long and 83 meters high, along with other related tasks.

Patel Engineering was also the lowest bidder for a project to build a hydropower plant worth 718 crore rupees for the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation ltd. (NEEPCO).

This contract is for building a 240 MW Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh. The project is expected to produce 1,000 million units of electricity each year and will improve the power supply in the state.

This project is expected to be completed in 44 months, Patel Engineering stated in its document.
