RJ Corp’s clean-energy arm, Voltsun Labs, has announced a Rs. 1,743 crore investment to build a 2 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh using advanced TOPCon mono and bifacial technology. 

The plant is aimed at localising high-efficiency cell production and supporting both domestic assembly lines and export markets. 

The state has allocated land in a special economic zone to accelerate the project, underlining Andhra Pradesh’s intent to become a clean-tech manufacturing hub. 

This move is expected to significantly boost India’s solar-tech supply chain while reducing reliance on imports.
