Virtuoso Optoelectronics, through its fully owned company Virtuoso Compressors, has started making compressors for home and commercial refrigerators at its new factory in Nashik, Maharashtra.

The new facility has the capacity to produce 2.8 million compressors each year. These compressors range from 3 cc to 15 cc and include both fixed-speed and variable-speed models, catering to various cooling needs.

This project was carried out with technical support from global leaders Huayi Compressor (Jingzhou) and Jiaxipera Compressor, along with help from Shenzhen Eateron Company. Virtuoso's move is expected to increase local production, reduce India's reliance on imported compressors, and support the government's "Make in India" initiative. 

By setting up this plant, Virtuoso aims to be a key player in India's cooling industry, potentially expanding its offerings to include more energy-efficient and eco-friendly refrigeration technologies.
