Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has announced that the new terminal building at Vijayawada Airport is expected to be completed and operational in the coming few months.

The upgraded terminal is part of a comprehensive modernization plan to meet rising passenger traffic, improve amenities, and handle larger aircraft operations. 

Once completed, the new facility is projected to boost capacity, reduce congestion, and enhance passenger comfort.
The minister noted that the terminal expansion aligns with broader infrastructure priorities under the UDAN scheme and regional connectivity push. 

Once operational, the new terminal will strengthen Vijayawada’s position as a growing gateway in Andhra Pradesh.
