NHAI invites bids for four-lane south-east bypass in Azamgarh, UP

Infrastructure  -  Oct 02,2025  -

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued tenders for the construction of a four-lane South-East bypass in Azamgarh, aiming to decongest city traffic and streamline regional connectivity.

The project, spanning key segments around Azamgarh, forms part of NHAI’s broader plan to strengthen highway infrastructure in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

By diverting through traffic away from city centers, the bypass is expected to reduce travel times, support freight movement, and catalyze local economic development.

Contractors interested in the project can submit bids per the NHAI specifications.

The successful implementation of this bypass will complement other road upgrades in the region and attract ancillary investments in logistics, warehousing, and real estate along the bypass corridor.
