The Torrent Group has successfully inaugurated Uttar Pradesh's first green hydrogen plant in Gorakhpur. 

The facility, a joint project of Torrent Power and Torrent Gas, will produce 72,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually. 

This hydrogen will be blended with natural gas at up to a two percent concentration within the existing City Gas Distribution (CGD) network in Gorakhpur, making it India's largest green hydrogen and natural gas blending project in the CGD sector. 

The project, inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, supports the state's ambitious target of producing one million tonnes of green hydrogen annually and attracting new investments in the sector.
