UltraMarine, Jamil Steel, and PepsiCo India Holdings have been given land at the State Industrial Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) industrial estate near Manapparai, located on the Tiruchi-Dindigul National Highway.

With these new allocations, the total number of companies that have received land at the estate has now reached 16. Most of them were given land for 99 years. Just a year ago, this number was 19. So far, over 200 acres of land have been given to various companies.

A company that makes scaffolding was the first to start production. Out of the 16 companies, seven have started construction, and a few are almost finished with their building work.

The state government decided to set up an industrial park in Tiruchi district in 2013, with the goal of providing affordable long-term lease land.

Following this, the government acquired 1,096.36 acres of land in Kannudaiyanpatti, K. Periyapatti, and Chathirapatti near Manapparai. After setting aside areas for different types of industries, basic facilities like roads, electricity, and drinking water were then put in place.
