Tata Projects says Noida International Airport nearing completion, awaiting final approvals

Infrastructure  -  Nov 13,2025  -

Tata Projects Ltd, the engineering-procurement-construction contractor for the Noida International Airport (Jewar, Uttar Pradesh), reports that the airport’s construction is “by and large complete” and only regulatory clearances (such as the aerodrome licence from Directorate General of Civil Aviation – DGCA) remain before operations can begin.

The airport is key to the National Capital Region’s (NCR) second international gateway and the development of the surrounding industrial-logistics ecosystem.
Tata Projects’ contract covers terminal building, runways, air-side infrastructure, roads, utilities and other ancillary works. The firm emphasises its role in delivering large scale infrastructure projects and highlights the airport as a milestone in its project-portfolio diversification.

For the region, the airport is seen as a catalyst: opening new capacities for passenger and cargo traffic, unlocking industrial parcels along the Yamuna Expressway corridor, and driving logistics, warehousing and manufacturing growth. The imminence of operations signals that these broader ecosystems may also gain momentum.

Nevertheless, the final step of operational clearance is often time-consuming: securing DGCA approval, security clearances, safety audits and utility commissioning remain key risks.
