Tata Electronics, Bosch ink deal to start making chips in Assam

Tata Electronics, a key player in India's burgeoning electronics and semiconductor sector, has announced a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the renowned French-American technology firm Robert Bosch GmbH. 

This landmark collaboration will see the two companies working together on chip packaging and manufacturing at Tata Electronics' upcoming assembly and test unit in Assam, and also at its foundry in Gujarat.

The partnership marks a crucial step in India's ambition to create a comprehensive semiconductor and electronics ecosystem, bolstering the "Make in India" initiative and strengthening the nation's supply chain resilience.

"We are excited to partner with Bosch to help Bosch create a robust and reliable supply chain for key technology products," said Dr. Randhir Thakur, CEO and MD, Tata Electronics.
