TANFAC commissions 5,000 TPA High Purity Solar Grade Dilute Hydrofluoric Acid Plant

Power Generation  -  Jun 16,2025  -

Tanfac Industries, a leading Indian chemical maker, has successfully started its plant that produces 5,000 tonnes per year of solar-grade dilute hydrofluoric acid (DHF). This is a big step forward for India's solar energy sector. The product from the plant has been approved by one of the country's top solar energy producers, confirming that the DHF meets strict industry standards.

With this new plant, TANFAC becomes the first Indian chemical company to set up a facility for solar-grade DHF, which is an important raw material for making solar panels. The company is already moving ahead with the second phase of the project, which will double its capacity to 10,000 tonnes per year within the next three months.

Tanfac is a joint venture company promoted by Anupam Rasayan India Ltd and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), known for its expertise in hydrofluoric acid and related chemicals.
