Sigachi Industries has received the terms of reference (ToR) from the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Andhra Pradesh. This ToR is for the company's planned facility to manufacture Bulk Drugs, Drug Intermediates, and Specialty Chemicals in Orvakal, Kurnool district.

With this important approval, the process for environmental clearance (EC) is set to begin on July 15, 2025, and the project development will start on August 1, 2025. The facility is planned for 25.09 acres at Plot No. A-10, Guttapadu-Orvakal Node, and is categorized as B1 under Schedule 5(f) of the EIA Notification, 2006, which covers the synthetic organic chemicals sector.
 

This key initiative is expected to greatly improve Sigachi’s ability to manufacture Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and expand its reach into regulated and semi-regulated markets globally. Additionally, the facility will be a major export hub, further strengthening India’s position in the worldwide pharmaceutical supply chain.
