The Tamil Nadu government has signed an MoU worth Rs. 10,000 crore with Sarvam AI to establish India’s first sovereign AI park in Chennai. 

The project aims to build domestic capabilities in large language models, high-performance computing, and AI infrastructure. 

It will focus on secure, India-centric AI solutions with controlled data governance. 

The initiative is expected to attract global technology partners and skilled talent. 

Chennai’s existing IT ecosystem and power infrastructure make it a strategic location for the project.
