Tamil Nadu secures Rs 3,201 crore investment pledges from these German firms: Details inside

Tamil Nadu has secured investment pledges totaling Rs 3,201 crore during Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's official visit to Germany. 

The agreements were signed with three major German firms, promising to create over 6,250 new jobs across various sectors.

The key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were inked with:

* Knorr-Bremse: A global leader in braking systems, the company will invest Rs 2,000 crore to establish a new facility for railway doors and braking systems in Kancheepuram and Chennai, creating an estimated 3,500 jobs.

* Nordex Group: One of the world's largest wind turbine manufacturers, Nordex Group committed Rs 1,000 crore for the expansion of its plant in the Tiruvallur district, a project expected to generate 2,500 jobs. This move reinforces Tamil Nadu's leadership in the renewable energy sector.

* ebm-papst: The company, a global leader in electric motors and fans, will invest ₹201 crore over the next five years to expand its Global Capability Centre and manufacturing base in Chennai, creating 250 jobs.

The Chief Minister also held discussions with executives from the BMW Group, which expressed interest in expanding its operations in the state.
