Tamil Nadu secures Rs 15,516 crore in investments from CM Stalin's European visit

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has successfully concluded his European trip, securing investment commitments worth Rs 15,516 crore from companies in Germany and the UK. 

The investments, formalized through 33 MoUs, are expected to create over 17,600 jobs in key sectors.

Among the major announcements was a Rs 7,500 crore commitment from the Hinduja Group for investments in the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem, including cell and battery manufacturing. 

In Germany, significant pledges were made by companies like Knorr-Bremse, which will invest Rs 2,000 crore for a railway braking and door systems plant, and the Nordex Group, which will invest Rs 1,000 crore in wind turbine manufacturing. 

The deals span a wide range of industries, including green energy, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and electronics, reinforcing Tamil Nadu's position as a preferred investment destination.
