Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL) has commenced the establishment of its second manufacturing plant in IMT Kharkhoda, Haryana, further solidifying its presence in the Indian two-wheeler market.

The company is making an initial investment of approximately Rs 1,200 crore in this new facility, signaling a long-term commitment to growth.

The ceremony was attended by senior leaders from Suzuki Motor Corporation, including Managing Director Kenichi Umeda, and officials from the Indian and Japanese governments.

Developed by HSIIDC, this industrial township aligns with the Indian government's vision of enhancing industrial infrastructure, attracting global investment, and creating employment.

Upon its completion, the plant is projected to achieve an annual production capacity of 7.5 lakh units in its initial phase of operations and is expected to commence manufacturing activities in 2027.

This significant expansion is also anticipated to generate around 2,000 new employment opportunities in the region, contributing to local economic development.
