Manufacturing  -  Aug 07,2025  -

Sigachi Industries has initiated the construction of a new Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC) facility at its Dahej Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Gujarat. This expansion will add a production capacity of 12,000 metric tons per annum (MTPA), increasing the company's total MCC capacity to 30,000 MTPA.

This move solidifies Sigachi's position as India's largest MCC manufacturer. The new facility will incorporate advanced safety features and is expected to be operational within nine months.

Upon completion, the total MCC production capacity will rise to 30,000 MTPA. This includes the output from existing units at Dahej SEZ and Jhagadia. Sigachi noted that the expanded capacity will support uninterrupted customer service and ensure timely deliveries, strengthening its reliability in the pharmaceutical supply chain.

A new Spray Dryer system is being sourced in collaboration with leading equipment manufacturers and safety consultants to ensure operational excellence and compliance.

Serving customers across 65+ countries, Sigachi Industries manufactures a wide range of pharmaceutical products, including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), Intermediates, Excipients, and vitamin-mineral blends.
