Sical Logistics subsidiary gets green light for Gati Shakti cargo terminal

Infrastructure  -  Nov 26,2025  -

A subsidiary of Sical Logistics has received regulatory clearance to develop a cargo terminal under the Gati Shakti initiative, signalling expansion of multimodal freight capacity tied to government logistics reforms.

The project is expected to streamline last-mile connectivity for exporters and importers by integrating rail, road and port operations and improving turnaround times.

For the logistics ecosystem, the terminal adds capacity at a time when supply-chain resilience and cost efficiency are priorities for manufacturers and commodity traders.

The terminal is envisioned to operate as a multimodal hub integrated with national freight corridors, enabling smoother commodity evacuation from industrial belts.

Authorities expect the project to catalyse privatesector warehousing and spur ancillary logistics investments in the surrounding region.
