Sekisui Chemical announces new injection molding facility for automobile parts

Automotive Industries  -  Jun 26,2025  -

Sekisui Chemical, led by President Keita Kato, has announced plans for its sixth manufacturing plant in India.

This new factory, located in Pune, Maharashtra, will focus on making injection-molded parts for cars. It will operate under the name Sekisui DLJM molding private limited.

This $3 million investment is expected to boost their production by 15% and support the company's growing business in India's fast-expanding market. The factory is planned to start working in January 2026.

The company chose Pune's Chakan District for the new plant because it's a major hub for automobile manufacturing.

The area's strong existing industry makes it a perfect spot for Sekisui Chemical to grow its car parts production.

The facility will cover an area of 10,044 square meters, with 6,288 square meters used for production. It will make parts for both cars and motorcycles, meeting the increasing demand in India's growing vehicle market.
