Power Generation  -  Jun 11,2025  -

Rudra Global Infra Products, a steel company formerly known as MDICL, has announced its plans to build 30 MW of renewable energy projects in Gujarat. These projects will mainly be used to power the company's own operations.

Currently, the company is working on a 3.3 MW wind energy project that is expected to cost over Rs 32 crore. According to a company announcement, they have received a letter from the bank approving about 75% of the money needed for this wind power project.

This wind project is scheduled to be finished by December 2025 and is expected to produce around 1.1 crore units of electricity each year. This will be Rudra Global's fourth working wind turbine, bringing its total renewable energy capacity to eight MW, which can produce about 1.7 crore units annually.

Besides wind power, Rudra Global is also looking into solar and other similar renewable energy sources to reach a total capacity of 25–30 MW.
