Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the South Central Railway for a crucial infrastructure project. 

The contract, valued at approximately Rs 213.22 crore, involves the comprehensive design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of an overhead equipment (OHE) upgradation project.

This vital project aims to convert the existing 1x25kV OHE system to a more advanced and efficient 2x25kV feeding system. 

The scope of work also includes all associated feeder and earthing works, crucial for ensuring the reliability and safety of the railway's electrical infrastructure.

The upgradation work will span two key sections within the Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway: Duvvada-Rajahmundry section and Samalkot-Kakinada Port section.
