iPhone maker Pegatron is establishing a new manufacturing facility in Chennai to produce 5G equipment for domestic use and export markets. 

The plant aims to strengthen local production capabilities, reduce import dependency, and serve telecom infrastructure projects in India and abroad.

India’s push for telecom infrastructure expansion and 5G rollout has attracted foreign investors like Pegatron. 

The facility will leverage India’s skilled workforce and policy incentives for electronics manufacturing, enhancing the country’s position as a global hub for advanced telecom equipment production.
