Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC) has invited tenders for the preparation of a detailed project report (DPR) for a proposed four-lane greenfield highway connecting Pipili and Konark. 

The highway is aimed at improving connectivity to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Konark and easing traffic congestion on existing routes. 

The project forms part of Odisha’s broader infrastructure push to enhance tourism access and regional mobility. 

Once implemented, the corridor is expected to reduce travel time, improve road safety, and stimulate economic activity along the coastal tourism belt.
