NTPC starts commercial operations of 52 MW final phase at Nokh Solar Project

Power Generation  -  Jun 23,2025  -

NTPC has started selling electricity from the last part of its Nokh Solar Project in Rajasthan.

This final part, which is 52 megawatts, makes the entire 245-megawatt plant at Plot-3 fully working. The company said this last part began operating at midnight on June 22, 2025.

The first part of the plant, which was 193 megawatts, started working on June 9, 2025. With this, NTPC has now fully completed the whole 245-megawatt plant at Plot-3. This plant is part of the larger NTPC Nokh Solar Project, which is a big plan for renewable energy in the area.

After this, NTPC's total power capacity from its own plants is now 60,318 megawatts. Its total power capacity as a group is now 81,420 megawatts. This shows that NTPC is India's biggest power company.

This project helps NTPC's goal of using clean energy. It also supports India's goals for renewable energy. It helps make the power grid cleaner and provides more electricity using clean solar power.
