Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited (NLCIL) has announced plans to set up a 110 MW solar power plant in Uttar Pradesh as part of its renewable energy expansion strategy. 

The project aligns with the company’s long-term goal of reducing its carbon footprint and diversifying its generation mix. 

The solar facility is expected to contribute clean power to the state grid and support peak demand requirements. 

NLCIL has been steadily expanding its renewable portfolio alongside its conventional operations. 

The move underscores the growing participation of central PSUs in India’s energy transition.
