The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has issued a tender for the two-laning of National Highway (NH) 127B in Meghalaya. 

This crucial infrastructure project is aimed at improving the flow of traffic, enhancing road safety, and boosting connectivity across the region. 

The two-laning initiative is part of a broader plan to upgrade national highways in the North-Eastern states to facilitate faster and more efficient transportation of goods and people. 

Officials from MoRTH highlighted that the upgraded highway will be instrumental in the economic development of the area, providing better access to markets and reducing travel time for commuters. 

The tender process will now proceed to select a suitable contractor to execute the project.
