Maharashtra and Lodha Developers ink Rs 30,000 crore green data centre park deal

Infrastructure  -  Sep 12,2025  -

The Maharashtra government has signed a landmark MoU with Lodha Developers for the creation of a Green Integrated Data Centre Park in Palava, a significant step towards bolstering the state's digital infrastructure.

The project, which is set to attract an investment of over Rs 30,000 crore, will have a proposed capacity of 2 gigawatts (GW).

The initiative is a direct result of the state's Green Integrated Data Centre Parks policy, introduced in October 2024 to promote sustainable technology infrastructure.

According to the agreement, Lodha Developers will act as the master developer of the 370-acre park, with individual data centre operators setting up their own facilities within the hub.

The focus on using green and alternative energy sources for these power-hungry operations is a key feature of the project, which aims to position the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) as a leading hub for sustainable technology and contribute to India's net-zero goals.
