Knowledge Marine Engineering wins Rs 47.59 crore dredging contract at Deendayal Port

Infrastructure  -  Sep 26,2025  -

Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Limited (KMEWL) has been awarded a significant work order valued at Rs 47.59 crore (including taxes) by the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) for dredging operations at the Ghogha Ro-Ro Terminal.

The contract, which has a 12-month completion timeline, is split into two phases: 60% for initial capital dredging in the first three months, and 40% for subsequent maintenance dredging.

The scope of work involves dredging the approach channel, turning circle, and berth pockets to maintain a crucial depth of 6.8 meters Below Chart Datum (BCD).

KMEWL will deploy its existing Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD), River Pearl 8, for the project, demonstrating the company's focus on asset optimization and leveraging its fleet readiness.

This order adds approximately 25% to KMEWL's previous year's turnover, reinforcing its growth trajectory in maritime infrastructure.
