Juniper Green commissions 59 MWp solar component of hybrid project in Maharashtra

Power Generation  -  Jun 19,2025  -

Juniper Green Energy has successfully started operating the solar part (59 MWp) of its 75 MW hybrid power project in Wardha, Maharashtra. This solar power plant started working on June 6, 2025, which is 17 months earlier than its planned start date of November 17, 2026. This shows the company's excellent ability to complete projects quickly.

The hybrid project, named Juniper Green Power Five, has a total agreed capacity of 75 MW with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL), as per the agreement signed in November 2024. Besides the solar part, the project will also include a wind power capacity of 26.4 MW. Starting the solar part early is a very important step towards getting the entire hybrid project fully working.

Ankush Malik, CEO of Juniper Green Energy, said, "This early start shows how strong we are at getting things done and our promise to finish projects on time." Juniper Green Energy, based in Delhi NCR, is a company that makes renewable energy and is part of the Singapore-based AT Capital Group. Since it started in October 2018, the company has grown its working capacity to 1.1 GWp across large-scale solar, wind, and combined energy projects in India.
