Dassault teams up with RInfra arm to make Falcon 2000 jets in India

Infrastructure  -  Jun 19,2025  -

Reliance Infrastructure has partnered with Dassault Aviation from France to build Falcon 2000 jets in India. This move comes as India wants to buy more defense equipment made in the country.

Dassault said they plan to deliver the first jets made in India by 2028 for both business and military use. They will meet the growing demand in India and other countries.

India buys the most weapons in the world and has been looking to make more of its own products. Global companies are now being encouraged to produce in India, either by themselves or with Indian partners.

New Delhi also aims to sell more defense products to other countries, with exports going up by 12% in the financial year ending March, reaching $2.76 billion.

Dassault will make Falcon 2000 jets outside of France for the first time. They are working with Reliance Aerostructure, owned by businessman Anil Ambani, to set up the final assembly line in Nagpur, western India.

Reliance Infrastructure shares went up 5% after this news, while Dassault shares stayed mostly the same.
