Jammu & Kashmir secures 19 big road and tunnel projects

Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, thanked Prime Minister Modi and Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari for approving 19 large road and tunnel projects for the region.

In a post on social media, the LG expressed his gratitude for the projects, which are worth Rs 10,637 crore.

He mentioned some of the key approved projects, including:

1) The Peer-Ki-Gali tunnel.

2) The Sadhana tunnel.

3) The Zaznar Shopian section of NH-701A.

4) A four-lane flyover from Lal Chowk to Parimpora.

5) The Trehgam Chamkote section of NH-701.

6) A four-lane Magam Flyover on the Narbal-Gulmarg section.

7) The Qazigund Bypass.

The LG added that these important projects will improve how goods are moved and how quickly troops can travel. He also said they will improve roads and connect different tourist places in J&K. Building tunnels will cut down travel time, make sure roads can be used all year round, and boost the economy
