ITPL has commissioned a new greenfield bitumen derivatives plant near Chennai, enhancing supply reliability for India’s road-construction ecosystem. 

The fully automated facility will manufacture modified bitumen, emulsions and other derivatives used for highways, airports and urban infrastructure. 

This capacity addition is expected to meet rising demand driven by ongoing national highway expansions and state-level road upgrades.

The plant is also positioned to improve supply-chain efficiency for South Indian infrastructure contractors, who often rely on long-distance procurement. 

With better product availability and reduced logistics costs, the facility is expected to support faster project execution across Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states. ITPL’s investment further signals confidence in sustained infrastructure spending over the coming decade.
