IHCL signs new tree of life resort in Panheli, Maharashtra

Hospitality and Healthcare  -  Nov 13,2025  -

The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a new Tree of Life resort in Panheli, Maharashtra, expanding its portfolio of boutique leisure properties across India.

Located in a scenic coastal zone, the property will cater to travellers seeking premium wellness, nature-focused, and experiential tourism offerings. This addition reinforces IHCL’s strategy of positioning Tree of Life as a luxury-boutique brand in emerging destinations.

The resort will feature bespoke villas, wellness facilities, and curated local experiences, leveraging Panheli’s natural landscapes and cultural heritage. IHCL has been actively growing its presence in Maharashtra through new greenfield and conversion projects to meet rising demand from domestic leisure travellers.

Tree of Life has seen rapid expansion in recent years, with properties across Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, and other tourism hotspots. The brand focuses on low-density, design-driven resorts that integrate local craftsmanship and sustainable construction principles.

The new Panheli property forms part of IHCL’s broader plan to add 85+ hotels across brands such as Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, Ginger, and Tree of Life.
