Hindalco Industries has signed agreements with the Odisha Government to invest Rs 200 crore in setting up apparel manufacturing units. This move aims to create jobs and boost industrial growth in the state.

Two separate agreements were signed between Hindalco and the Government of Odisha during the "Textile Investor Meet 2025" (Tex-2025) event in Bhubaneswar. Hindalco will establish two apparel manufacturing units, one in Kendujhar district and another in Sambalpur district, with each unit receiving Rs 100 crore in investment.

These new units are expected to create about 2,400 direct job opportunities, especially for the local youth and women. The facilities are planned to become operational in the near future, marking a significant step in the state's textile and apparel sector development.
