Healthium Medtech to expand manufacturing in Sri City via APEDB partnership

Manufacturing  -  Nov 21,2025  -

Healthium Medtech has entered into a partnership with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) to scale up manufacturing activities in Sri City, aiming to localise production of medical devices and consumables for domestic and export markets.

The collaboration is pitched as a step toward reducing import dependence for critical healthcare items while strengthening local medical manufacturing clusters.

Sri City’s integrated industrial ecosystem — combining land parcels, logistics linkages and plug-and-play facilities — offers Healthium a platform to accelerate production ramp-up and meet regulatory and quality standards for medical exports.

The company intends to use the site for both consumable lines and higher-value devices that require sterile manufacturing environments.

The move is aligned with central and state policy objectives that incentivise medical device manufacturing via capital subsidies and operational support, reinforcing the “Make in India” push for healthcare technologies.

For Healthium, the expansion will enable faster domestic supply-chain responsiveness and reduce lead times for hospitals and clinics.
