ACME Solar commissions second 16 MW phase of Gujarat Wind project

Power Generation  -  Nov 21,2025  -

ACME Solar (ACME Group) has commissioned the second 16 MW phase of its Gujarat wind development, incrementally expanding the project’s capacity and accelerating commercial operations under phased execution.

The staged commissioning helps the developer monetise capacity early under contracted offtake terms and improves project-level cashflow dynamics.

The Gujarat site benefits from solid wind regimes and established transmission connectivity, which improves capacity utilisation and reduces curtailment risk compared with nascent regions. ACME’s hybrid strategy — developing both wind and solar assets — is intended to smooth generation profiles and create attractive bundled products for buyers.

From a policy perspective, the addition supports state and national renewable targets and strengthens regional renewable penetration that utilities and distribution companies must integrate.

For ACME, the project enhances its merchant and contracted portfolio mix and signals ongoing investor confidence in India’s renewables pipeline.b
