The Gujarat government has announced plans to develop a 336-acre Medical Device Park in Rajkot, aimed at strengthening India’s domestic medical manufacturing ecosystem. 

The park will offer integrated infrastructure for manufacturing, testing, R&D, and exports, supporting a wide range of medical devices and equipment. 

Strategically located with strong road and port connectivity, the project is expected to attract both domestic and global manufacturers. 

The initiative aligns with Gujarat’s long-term strategy to position itself as a hub for high-value healthcare manufacturing.

The park is also expected to generate significant employment and encourage ancillary industries in the region. 

It supports India’s broader goal of reducing import dependence in the medical devices sector.
