Craftsman Automation opens new manufacturing facility in Shoolagiri

Automotive Industries  -  Nov 11,2025  -

Craftsman Automation Limited has officially commenced operations at its new manufacturing plant in SIPCOT Industrial Park, Shoolagiri, near Hosur, Tamil Nadu.

The plant, built with an investment of around Rs 150 crore, focuses on expanding the company’s aluminium-product manufacturing capacity to serve two- and four-wheeler OEMs in the southern region.

The new unit aims to relieve production pressure from Craftsman’s existing facilities, which are already operating at nearly 75% capacity utilisation.

It also strategically positions the company closer to key automotive hubs in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, enhancing delivery efficiency and cost competitiveness.

The plant will cater primarily to the powertrain and industrial & engineering segments, key revenue drivers for the Coimbatore-based manufacturer.

Craftsman Automation has been steadily expanding its infrastructure footprint to capitalise on India’s growing automotive demand and rising exports of precision-engineered components.

The company said that around 90% of the investment was debt-funded, with the rest coming from internal accruals.
