JSW Energy commissions 85 MW of renewable power capacity

Power Generation  -  Nov 11,2025  -

JSW Energy has commissioned 85 MW of renewable projects, including wind and solar assets, as part of its push toward green energy expansion.

The move lifts the company’s operational renewable portfolio to nearly 3 GW, solidifying its position among India’s largest clean power producers.

These newly commissioned assets, developed through wholly owned subsidiaries, will contribute to JSW Energy’s long-term goal of reaching 20 GW total capacity by 2030 — with over 85% sourced from renewables.

The development aligns with India’s clean-energy transition roadmap and the government’s 500 GW renewable target by 2030.

The company has been strategically diversifying its portfolio through a mix of solar, wind, and hydro-based projects across Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan.

This approach helps mitigate risk while ensuring consistent generation across varying geographies and seasons.
