Cosmic, a leading energy-storage manufacturer, has partnered with Indygreen to establish a 2 GW lithium-ion battery manufacturing line dedicated to battery energy storage systems (BESS). The venture aims to support India’s growing demand for grid-scale and industrial energy storage solutions.

The new facility will integrate cell-to-system assembly, advanced battery-management systems, and recycling capabilities. It will supply domestic developers as well as global clients investing in renewable and hybrid energy projects in India.

India’s BESS market is expected to cross 50 GWh by 2030, driven by ambitious solar and wind targets. The partnership will help bridge the current gap between energy generation and storage capacity, providing flexible power for utilities and industries alike.

By developing a full-stack domestic supply chain, Cosmic and Indygreen’s collaboration contributes to India’s “Atmanirbhar Energy” mission, reducing dependence on imported battery components while advancing sustainability.
