Infrastructure developer Ceigall India has emerged as the lowest bidder for constructing core infrastructure at the upcoming Bulk Drug Park in Una district, Himachal Pradesh. 

Part of the Centre’s scheme to promote domestic manufacturing of key starting materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), the park will reduce India’s reliance on imports—currently around 70%—for critical raw materials used in medicines. 

The Rs 1,000 crore project will offer common facilities like effluent treatment plants, power, steam, and logistics support to pharmaceutical units. 

Once operational, it is expected to attract investments from leading pharma manufacturers and generate substantial employment.
