The Andhra Pradesh cabinet has approved the Dagadarthi greenfield airport project in Nellore district, reinforcing the state’s focus on aviation-led regional development. 

The proposed airport will improve passenger connectivity and enable faster cargo movement for agricultural and industrial goods. 

It is expected to complement nearby ports and industrial corridors, strengthening multimodal logistics infrastructure. 

The project is likely to be developed under a public-private partnership model to attract private capital and operational expertise. 

Once completed, the airport is expected to catalyse real estate, tourism, and commercial activity in the surrounding region.
