The Assam cabinet has approved a Rs. 103 crore five-star hotel project in Silchar to strengthen hospitality infrastructure in the Barak Valley region.

The project will be developed to support tourism and business travel in southern Assam.

Officials said the hotel will offer premium accommodation and modern hospitality facilities.

The investment is expected to enhance tourism potential and generate employment in the region.

The project will be implemented after completion of planning approvals and construction formalities.
