ACME Solar executes PPA with SECI for 300 MW Sikar Solar Project

Power Generation  -  Jun 25,2025  -

ACME Sikar Solar, a company that is fully owned by ACME Solar Holdings, has signed a 25-year agreement to sell electricity. This agreement is with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for their 300 MW solar power project in Rajasthan. The price for the electricity is set at ₹3.05 per unit (kWh).

This agreement comes after ACME Sikar started producing electricity from its 300 MW project on June 23, 2025. The company had won the bid for this project earlier under a program called SECI ISTS XVIII Tranche, and the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) officially approved the electricity price on May 30, 2025.

According to the agreement, the project needs to start supplying power by June 30, 2025. Because the project will be ready before the June 2025 deadline, it will also be exempt from charges for using the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS). This is a government incentive to encourage renewable energy projects to start operating quickly.

With this achievement, ACME Solar now has agreements for a total of 5,130 MW of solar power projects. Of this, 2,890 MW are already working, and the rest are in various stages of being built.
