Bengaluru-based Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses Private Limited is planning a significant investment of Rs 5,000 crore to establish a new solar cell manufacturing facility. 

This project is a key part of the Tamil Nadu government's strategy to become a major hub for green energy exports. 

The plant will likely be located in the Hosur-Krishnagiri region, situated just 40 kilometers from Bengaluru. 

This investment is anticipated to create 3,000 jobs and will enhance the domestic solar value chain by supporting ancillary industries that produce essential components such as glass, EVA, and silver paste.

The announcement was made as part of the "TN Rising Investment Conclave," which aims to attract fresh capital into the state.
