Wipro Electronics to start operations at Rs. 500 crore Bengaluru-North PCB unit in 9 months

Manufacturing  -  Nov 21,2025  -

Wipro Electronics has committed Rs. 500 crore to establish a PCB manufacturing facility in North Bengaluru, with commercial operations targeted within nine months.

The plant is intended to strengthen domestic manufacturing of critical electronic components and support OEMs across computing, telecom, industrial and defence segments.

The new unit will help reduce India’s reliance on imported PCBs, particularly for precision and multilayer boards used in higher-end electronics — a strategic goal reinforced by PLI schemes and national electronics-industry policy.

Local PCB capacity supports faster prototype-to-scale cycles for domestic OEMs and reduces foreign-supply chain exposure.

Wipro’s timing taps a favourable policy and demand environment, as global OEMs diversify supply chains and as local demand for advanced electronics rises.

The plant will also create skilled manufacturing jobs and stimulate ancillary service-provider growth in the Bengaluru manufacturing ecosystem.
