German automotive supplier Webasto will establish its third manufacturing facility in India, increasing its annual production capacity to 2 million units. 

The plant will manufacture sunroofs and roof systems, catering to rising demand from domestic passenger vehicle manufacturers.

Company officials said the investment underlines India’s growing importance in Webasto’s global supply chain strategy. 

The expansion will enhance localisation, reduce import dependence, and improve delivery timelines for OEM customers.

The new facility will complement Webasto’s existing plants in the country and strengthen its position in the fast-growing automotive components segment
