Vikran Engineering wins Rs 354 crore EPC contract for Maharashtra solar project

Research and Development  -  Oct 30,2025  -

Vikran Engineering Ltd. has bagged a major EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contract worth Rs 354 crore for a 100 MW solar power project in Maharashtra.

The project, commissioned by Ellume Energy, will span over 1,200 acres and is expected to generate clean power for over 200,000 homes once completed.

The win reinforces Vikran’s position among India’s emerging renewable infrastructure players. India’s solar sector is currently one of the world’s fastest-growing, with a national target of 280 GW solar capacity by 2030.

Maharashtra, in particular, is expanding rapidly with multiple utility-scale and hybrid solar parks. The project is also expected to contribute to state-level decarbonization targets while generating substantial local employment during its construction phase.
